This is from the Facebook group Casual Chess London. There is also a website casualchess.org . This can be hard to access using Google Chrome - all that comes up is the wallpaper. You can scroll the pages upwith a touchscreen but not with a mousepad. Hi! Welcome to Casual Chess. We're starting a real life chess cafe in Central London, from Monday 26th January 2015 onwards. You can drop into the BFI lobby, 21 Stephen St, off Tottenham Court Rd, W1T 1LN, for some friendly games of chess in a relaxed atmosphere. We're open every day from 3pm - 10pm, except Sundays. It's free to play; delicious food and drinks can be bought on the premises from www.benugo.com/restaurants/stephen-st-kitchen. However, because the restaurant and bar are separate from the playing area, no one will hover over you pushing you to eat or drink. Choose your own time control and grab a coffee. Post on this group wall to arrange to meet a player of a similar level...or just come along and play anyone and everyone. We have boards and clocks...or feel free to bring your own. We welcome absolutely everyone. Organised by women, we are particularly happy to see other female players, and will make sure there's always a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere.
