Not in a chess sense alas. I mean that I appear to have popularised FIscher aka Bonus Time mode with enough players to keep a board going. We had a strong player called madison show up who preferred 3 min plus 2 sec increment which is now the standard used in the Blitz world championship. I think 2s is too short and currently have my clock set to 3s but I think this is still too short and hoping I can persuade a return to the 2m + 5s we played a few years ago.

Alas since posting this I have caved in to the majority and gone back to basic 5 min. Then today, one of Fischer Mode's most vociferous critics, Aishe, of all people, asked to play fischer Mode! Its adoption by the Golders Green rapidplay tourney is I think the explanation. However she insists that it "takes too long" when there are more than two of us, a concept which is meaningless without reference to the actual settings. In my experience, with Fischer Mode if a player loses on time they complain it is too short, and if on the board they complain it is too long!

Of course, 5 minutes is the best!
